What's up, folks? I hope you are doing well. I have been juggling multiple tasks and deadlines ever since I started producing content for other people too. It was quite challenging because it's hard to draw a borderline between personal and business. If you're doing a business, you need at least two devices so that things won't mix up. Fortunately, the latest Samsung Galaxy A32 5G was launched just in time and I received it last week.

In this article, we are going unbox it to see what's included and I will share my first impression before I share the full review after using it for around 1 or 2 weeks.

Launched in March 2021, the affordably-priced Samsung Galaxy A32 5G comes with pretty positive features for work and play, which is ideal for those who are looking for a mid-range smartphone for casual use.

What's inside the box? Continue reading.

 Unboxing

Just like other smartphone models, the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G comes in the usual smartphone packaging. It's packed in straightforward packaging where we can see the phone's outlook and color at the front of the box.

If you look at the box carefully, it is sealed with a specific sticker to assure its originality. So, you don't have to worry if the box is sealed as in the above picture when you received your handset.

In the box, besides the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, you will have the basic items like documentations (guide, warranty card, and others), Samsung EP-TA200 15W Fast Charge, USB-A to USB-C cable, and SIM ejector pin.

 My First Impression

The device is pretty lightweight. It's just 205g despited packed with a 5,000 mAH battery. It doesn't feel too heavy and too light like a toy. It feels comfortable holding it even with one hand.

Equipped with a whole 6.5-inch screen, I believe this is gonna be one of the most favourite features among people who love to watch movies and play games. For me, Samsung screens are undoubtedly one of the best in the market.

There's two 3.5mm audio jack at the top and bottom of the phone as well as one single down-firing speaker. I love the fact that the power button works as a fingerprint scanner too.

Below are the specs:

1. 8GB RAM

2. 128GB Internal Storage

3. 5000mAh

4. 6.5" TFT LCD 720x1600

5. Android 11, One UI 3.0

6. MediaTek MT6853 Dimensity 720 5G (7 nm)

7. Quad Cameras (48 MP,  8 MP, 5 MP, 2 MP)

8. Front Camera (13 MP)

If you ask me, why should I buy the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G? If you have a limited budget and wish to get a smartphone with similar specs to the other models like the A52 or A72, then the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is a recommended one for you.

Now, allow me to try the phone and I will share more thoughts in the next article soon

 Where to buy?

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is priced at RM1,199. You can purchase it from the Samsung official website, telco companies or any authorized smartphone dealers in Malaysia.

Things I Like About Lumos Projector

This pandemic really changed our lifestyle. We used to meet up with our friends, go for cafe hopping, and travel around freely without restrictions. Another thing that I miss the most is going to the cinema to watch new movies. I mean, who doesn't, right?

Since we are urged to stay at home, I successfully turned my small room into my cinema. Nah, don’t worry. No major changes or decorations. With my LUMOS RAY Projector, all I need is an empty wall and an Internet connection.

This cute projector is everything for me now. I spent my nights watching my favourite movies, videos on YouTube, and a few of my travel vlogs. Urgh, I just can’t stop mentioning how I miss travelling so so badly.

If you are thinking of getting a projector for yourself, below are some of the things I like about LUMOS RAY Projector. I hope this article can give you some useful insight before you decide to purchase it.

#1 First, let’s talk about the design

Shaped like a polaroid camera, LUMOS RAY is definitely an Instagrammable projector. It’s lightweight (1.2 KG), super portable, and easy to install. That means you can conveniently bring it everywhere you want.

Let’s say today you want it to be in your living room and the next day you changed your mind to place it in your room or maybe you’re going to your friend’s house for a sleepover.

 #2 Specs

LUMOS RAY projector is equipped with 720p BluRay (1080p Support), 3000 Lumens, aspect ratio 16:9/4:3, Dolby-Audio-support speakers on both sides of the projector, and with 16 x 17 x 15 cm dimension.

The range of the projected screen size is between 50 - 150 inches. Meanwhile, the projection distance is from 1.5 - 4.5 meters. So, the bigger your room, the bigger the projection screen can be. With its super-sharp resolution & clarity, It’s almost like you’re in a cinema hall.

 #3 Inbuilt Features

There are two types of LUMOS RAY project, which are Smart and Regular. Mine is a RAY Smart one.

RAY Smart has better features compared to RAY Regular and of course, the price is also slightly expensive.

Some of the special features of LUMOS Smart are it has an Android 6.0 operating system, RAM 1GB + ROM 8GB memory and storage, Bluetooth 4.0, inbuilt Airplay/AirScreen app for iOS and Android phones.

Not just that, what I really love about the projector is it has YouTube, Netflix, and App Play Store. You can connect it to your WiFi and download or stream whatever you want and available.

How much and where to get it?

RAY Regular: RM599

RAY Smart: RM798

Bundle Ray Regular + RIZE Stand: RM778

Bundle Ray Smart + RIZE Stand: RM977

Plus, they have a 1-year local warranty for their products.

If you have a proper space to place the projector, you can skip the RIZE stand. However, if you wish to properly stand your projector, it’s definitely recommended to have one. It’s based on your personal needs.

Did you know that LUMOS is also a local Malaysian brand? Yup, that's right. This is our opportunity to #supportlocal in these tough times. You can visit LUMOS'official website to find out more. For reviews, you can check here.

Now, turn off your lights, switch on the air conditioner, grab your favourite snacks and enjoy your favourite movies with LUMOS Ray Projector!

Samsung Galaxy A32 5G Review

You are currently looking for an affordably priced smartphone and thinking about Samsung Galaxy A32 5G? This article gives you some important insight for your consideration.

I have been using my Samsung Galaxy A32 5G for nearly 3 weeks since I published my first impression blog post. To be honest, I'm quite satisfied with its specs and features because it is worth what we have paid since it costs RM1,199 but it has 5G support, multiple cameras, decent quality display, and more, which we will discuss in this article.

Below are some of the important points to be considered

 #1 Performance

The Samsung A32 5G has a 6.5-inch 720p LCD panel, which is a standard one. For me, it is not the perfect one as the colours look a little flat but it is enough to enjoy what you're seeing through the screen. It is good to learn that it uses a lower mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G processor combined with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (it's enough but you can expand it with a microSD card) as it performs quite well enough for its range or category.

After using different apps with pretty demanding tasks, I noticed a little bit of lag when using maps for navigation, camera shutter, and a few more but in general, all good. Scrolling through Instagram posts, reading on an online news portal, checking on the WhatsApp/Telegram messages were pretty smooth for me.

Thus, in terms of performance, it is actually not bad. It's not the ideal device if you're looking for speed, but it's decent enough if you just want to use it to watch some videos and play casual games.

 #2 Design & Battery

In terms of battery, the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. To be honest, it is quite big and can last longer. My phone's battery can stay up until 1 and a half-day of moderate use out of it. Usually, it takes around 1 hour to fully charge the phone.

Please take note that the size of this smartphone is pretty big. If you are not into big phones, I believe you'll pretty uncomfortable holding them. But if you don't have a problem with it, you will love the benefits of having a smartphone with a big screen like the joy of watching your favourite movies or videos.

Tip: I would like to suggest to you to get a case for extra protection because holding the Samsung A32 5G feels a bit slippery.

 #3 Camera

The Samsung A32 5G smartphone features multiple cameras. The rear cameras are a 48-megapixel standard wide-angle, an 8-megapixel ultrawide, a 5-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait mode. On top of that, there is a 13-megapixel selfie camera at the front.

The camera quality is actually pretty good for the money. As someone who's really passionate about photography, I would say that its cameras are suitable just for our daily use (snapping a photo of our notes, receipts, or a place for direction) instead of for artistic photography purposes.

Photo samples

Ultra Wide Angle & Wide Angle inside my room with a sufficient amount of natural light

A shot of a paper surface using Macro mode

Indoor Shot

Outdoor Shot with sunlight

Macro Shot

When there is a great amount of light, there will no problem. The camera works well. However, when the amount of light is low, you will see minor flaws like the photo gets a little blurry with noise.

To conclude the above, these are some of the best things about the Samsung A32 5G

1. The battery. It lasts longer.

2. As a movie buff, the screen size is pretty decent.

3. Well, it can support 5G. When the time comes where we can get the 5G network in Malaysia, people who owned a mid-range smartphone can enjoy this technological advancement.

Again with the price of RM1,199, the Samsung A32 5G has almost everything you need in a smartphone. To find out more, check out Samsung Malaysia's official website

Do you want to find a place that combines the best of both traditional and exotic? Rajasthan is a state that offers the perfect combination of exotic and traditional. It is home to stunning forts and temples, vibrant culture, and golden desert sands.

Udaipur, one of the most beautiful cities in Rajasthan is among the many. It is known as the city of lakes and was established in 1558. It was also the capital of the Mewar kingdom. The area is home to footprints from earlier civilizations, which date back to 2000 BCE.

Udaipur is rich in culture, making it even more vibrant than you might imagine. British administrator Lieutenant-Colonel James Tod described it as "the most romantic spot in India."

You are here because you want to go to Udaipur. This article will discuss the top places to visit in Udaipur, as well as Udaipur Packages. Let's get started.

You can find all the places you can visit in Udaipur by simply asking Alexa or Google Assistant. We know that you have limited time so we've compiled a list of the top destinations and reasons to visit them.

City Palace Udaipur

City Palace, located on the eastern bank of Lake Pichola in a stunning setting, is one of the largest palaces in Rajasthan. It was built during Maharana Udai Singh II's reign and completed in stages over the next 400 years. You heard it right. It was built with granite and marble and incorporates Medieval, European and Chinese architectural styles.

Image: @thatvintage.girl

This castle has 11 mini-palaces with lovely courtyards, terraces and hanging gardens. The interiors are filled with intricate mirrors, marble-work and wall paintings as well as silver-work.

The Suraj Gokhda and Dilkhush mahal are some of the most prominent structures in City Palace. Another attraction is the beautiful views of Lake Pichola through the terraces.

The Lake Palace

The palace, which is situated on Lake Pichola's Jag Niwas Island, is known for its intricate architecture. The castle is a scene from the James Bond movie "Octopussy".

Image: @ayaz_ayoob

It was built in 1746 by Maharana Jagat Sing and was originally called Jag Niwas. It was recently converted into the Taj Lake Palace Hotel. While you can enjoy the stunning setting, a guide will be able to provide interesting facts about the Kings' era.

Enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants or take a boat ride on Lake Pichola. It is worth taking the time to visit the museum and the crystal gallery.

The Lake Garden Palace

This palace, also known as Jagmandir Isla is another impressive structure built in the 17th century. This is an interesting fact: Shah Jahan, the Mughal prince at the time, took refuge in this palace's Gul Mahal for a few years. The Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan when he was made the emperor.

It shares some similarities with the Gul Mahal. Beautiful murals and paintings are featured in the interior of the Gul Maul, which resembles the Mughal style. The walls are decorated with precious stones such as rubies, onyx and jade. A Jag Mandir, a lovely garden, and a darikhana (terrace) are also available.

Saheliyon Ki Badi

Saheliyon Ki Badi was a garden that Rana Sangram Singh II built in 18th century for Queen Rana and her 48 maids. This garden is a popular choice for those who visit Udaipur because of its peaceful setting. It is powered by the many fountains that it has because the water from Fateh Sagar Lake flows through several canals.

Image: @aapnnoudaipur

A beautiful pavilion made of marble and multiple kiosks are located around a lotus pool. This garden's main attraction is the gorgeous marble pavilion. It also houses a museum with royal household items. It is a great place to visit in Udaipur.

Vintage Car Museum

For car enthusiasts, this is a must-see destination. The museum captures the lavish lifestyle of the royal families. There are 20 antique cars in the museum, including four Rolls-Royce models, one MG-TC Convertible, two 1939 Cadillacs, two 1936 Vauxhall-12s, and one Ford-A Convertible. The 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom was one of the cars used in the James Bond movie Octopussy.

Bagore Ki Haveli

Another magnificent structure is located near Lake Pichola. In the 18th century, Shri Amarchand Badwa was the Prime Minister of the Mewar Kingdom.

Image: @ibrijsoni

It was later expanded by Maharaj Shakti Singh from Bagore. There are 138 rooms in the palace decorated with mirrors and glasswork, and beautiful murals. There are also beautiful terraces, jharokhas, and decorative archways. There are three types of chowks in the Haveli, as well as a museum.

Shimla & Manali: A week-long Trip

Have you ever dreamed of a trip to Shimla & Manali? I've heard a lot about these two destinations and hoping that I will be able to explore them once we can travel around again one fine day. Here's a story from one of my guest writers.

In November 2015, we went on a one-week visit to Shimla (and Manali). Half of us had been to Manali and Shimla before, so a week was not enough. Instead of wandering from one site to another, we sought a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle.

Image sources: Yatra, Tripsavvy, & Tribune India
We planned our one-week trip to Shimla, Manali, as a large family group. The trip was as much a family event as it was a touristic adventure. Before embarking on our one-week trip, we made a list of the top places we wanted to see in Shimla and included it in our Shimla Manali Tour Package. Thanks to our slow indulgence, we had a memorable and pleasant time with our family.

Best time to visit Shimla and Manali

Manali and Shimla are both open all year. The best time to visit Shimla or Manali will depend on your expectations of these destinations. For those who want to escape from the heat and humidity that India experiences, the best time to visit is March-May. If you want to truly enjoy the chilling cold snowfall (which I do), then visit in March-May. The winter months between October and February are the best time to visit. The possibility of landslides can make it difficult to avoid this place during the monsoon period of June-September.

One week Shimla/Manali trip by Commute

We had planned our trip to Shimla/Manali for almost 33.5 months. When we made the decision to travel to Shimla and Manali for a week, we booked our flight tickets. Next, we booked flights from Bangalore to Chandigarh. For the duration of the week, we booked two cabs from Chandigarh. These cabs were to take us around the trip of Chandigarh-> Shimla, and Manali-> Chandigarh. If you want, AC buses can be used to take you from Delhi back to Shimla. You can also use local taxis to go sightseeing around the area.

Manali and Shimla Hotels

The next step was finding suitable accommodation at each of these places. However, this took considerable research and time. The places were already full, and it was early winter vacation season. However, we had to do some research before we could make a decision. We recommend that you book your Shimla or Manali trip well in advance. You can check out the many options at agoda.com and booking.com. You can also get discounts or cancel anytime you like on these websites.

In fact, we found a great resort in Manali just before we made our decision on Shimla because Manali had a lower tourist season than Shimla. Manali is at a higher elevation, which makes it more popular for tourists to go to Shimla first and then return to Manali. Manali is much more peaceful than Shimla during peak season and the beginning of tourist season. Actually. When we finally found the perfect homestay in Shimla, we almost gave up looking for a place that would meet our needs. We had completed all of our bookings for the Shimla and Manali one-week trip about two months ahead.

Finally, the journey began.

Day1: Bangalore - Chandigarh - Shimla

It's day 1! We counted down the days since we finalized the tour and booked the flights to Chandigarh. The result was that we arrived at Chandigarh in the early morning. Our extended family joined us in Chandigarh at the domestic terminal. (Delhi-Chandigarh has excellent road and rail connectivity. Our family chose to travel by Shatabdi Express train in the morning. It took them 3 hours to reach Chandigarh. We started our journey towards Shimla from here. When we left Chandigarh's airport, the cabs were already waiting. We were on our route to Shimla when we got in the taxis. The drive from Chandigarh up to Shimla has beautiful scenery. We stopped at a rest stop in the middle to eat lunch.

Finally, we arrived in Shimla at 7 in. We had booked the entire house stay. The host showed us the place and was extremely helpful. After a guided tour, we were able to choose our rooms and settled into them. We enjoyed a lovely home-cooked dinner, which was prepared by the host. We spoke to him during the dinner and sought his advice on how to best plan our next day. He was generous enough with his information to provide us with lots of details about places and things to see. After dinner, we had some chit-chat and retired for the evening.

Day 2: Naldehra Ridge and Mall

Naldehra Trek

The next morning, we began our day with a home-cooked meal. After that, we took some time to relax on the enormous terrace of the homestay. It was a beautiful spot with lots of sunlight and a warm winter feeling. Then, we set out to explore the town.

We were familiar with the main attractions of Shimla. On the recommendation of our taxi drivers, we headed straight for the Naldehra trekking track. Our parents accompanied us on the ponies provided at the start of our trek as we walked. We walked slowly, taking breaks, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery around us.

We finally reached the narrow stream, then the golf courses ahead. From there, we continued along the same path, returning to our starting point. By the time we reached the end, it was almost lunch. We had lunch at an excellent small restaurant. The views from this spot were spectacular. It was already past three in the afternoon by the time we left. It was 3:00 pm. We decided that we would head to the ridge and mall road.

Ridge and Mall

After lunch, we set off on the Naldehra trekking to get to the ridge. After lunch, we sat down on the rustic benches to chat merrily and relaxed at the ridge. The ridge was the perfect place for some photo sessions. Evening snacks were available here. Some people had hot momos, while others enjoyed ice creams. It is always a pleasure to enjoy ice cream in the frigid cold. When it's cold outside, the ice cream doesn't melt.

From there, we began to walk down the mall, stopping at shops between to grab a few souvenirs. We continued our walk until we found the government-installed lift. (The lift is located at the mall's end. Walking straight across the mall will take you to the lift. You can also get directions from the locals or shopkeepers. You can find a board at the lift to point you in the right direction. We reached the lower bazaar by taking the lift. There was a waiting cab for us. We were able to return to our home from this point.

Day 3: Tara Devi Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple

On the owner's advice, we set off today to Sankat Mochan Temple, shortly after having breakfast. Here, we had a good time offering prayers to different gods. We also took time to relax in the courtyard and marvel at the breathtaking views.

From here, we moved to Tara Devi temple. Tara Devi Temple is located at a higher elevation than the rest. We arrived at this location as the weather was changing and it was getting cloudy. We offered our prayers and spent some time here relaxing before deciding to go back to our home. It seemed like the clouds were going to get denser and that it would eventually rain.

We stopped for lunch on the way and returned to our hotel at around 4 pm. I went straight to my homestay's roof. It was beautiful to see the black clouds hovering high above the mountains. Many people call this type of weather "gloomy", but I am a sucker for hovering clouds. We also decided to let our parents and child relax for the day because of this. While sitting on the terrace, we watched the formation and rain of black clouds above the mountains. We then returned to our rooms to have some hot coffee.

Day 4: Shimla - Manali road trip

The next day, we began quietly in Manali at 7:30 am. The Shimla-Manali road trip takes about 7-8 hours. It would be difficult to keep up with the speed of the road due to the steep climbs. It is, without a doubt, one of the most scenic roads we have taken in India. We stopped at Kullu to look through their collection of woolen clothes and shawls. It was lovely. A few of us even bought a few. From there, we moved straight to our hotel. Finally, we reached our hotel at 5 pm in the evening. Next, we checked in, got refreshed, had dinner before falling asleep.

Day 5: Hidimba Temple & Manu Temple Mall Road Monastery Monastery Monastery and Clubhouse

Hidimba Temple

Our resort was quite near Hidimba Devi temple. After breakfast, we set out for the temple. The Manu temple can be found adjacent to this temple. Both temples were our places of worship. The temple's premise is huge. We can walk around the temple premises to enjoy some quiet time. All around the temple are large green fields with tall deodars. In any direction you go, fresh air is available. At the temple's entrance, you will find beautiful small shops selling Puja products. The temple is beautiful and extremely ancient. We spent some time here. Then, we went on to our next destination, the Mall Road in Manali.

Mall Road & Monastery

Next, we drove to Mall road, Manali. This is Manali's main shopping area. After wandering from one end and looking at the offerings, we came to a decision to have lunch at one of the restaurants. After lunch, we headed to the monastery that was just next to the mall. This tiny, colourful monastery is just next to Manali's Mall road. For directions, ask the locals. The Monastery is marked by wires and threads when you get close to it. These wires have several coloured papers hanging from them, which is a sign of a Monastery. After visiting the Monastery, our next stop was the mall road. This time we headed towards the Manali clubhouse. We stopped in a few shops along the way. The market's woollen garments are worth it. Material is affordable while quality is good.

Club House

Next, we went to the Manali clubhouse on the banks. The clubhouse houses a shopping mall and has seating near the river bank. Our time was mostly spent on the grounds. Some also did some shopping in the complex. However, I was not happy with the commercialization. This place was home to my parents and me for almost 15 years. It was so much more charming when I visited. You could even go to the bank of the magnificent river and sit on the rocks. But now, the river is a trickle, and it's impossible to get up its banks. There are many vendors around, and it looks more like an enormous shopping complex than anything else.

We returned to the resort when it began to drizzle. We decided to make coffee in the colder rooms of our parents and gathered together. Through every room's full glass windows, the resort offered a stunning view of snow-clad mountains. We were talking and noticed that snow was falling slowly on the hill's upper slopes. All of the areas were slowly getting covered with a new blanket of snow. It was amazing to witness. It was so beautiful to watch.

Day 6: Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass

It was clear and sunny again this morning. Today we drove to Solang Valley. The drive to the valley is spectacularly beautiful, with snow-covered mountains visible all around. They were even more beautiful after receiving a good amount of snow last night. The stunning view of the valley is enhanced by the green mountains covered in white caps that you can also review. We strolled around the valley and stopped to take photos and admire the beauty of nature. Sometimes we just sat there and did nothing. I could not help but imagine this vast expanse in the winter months, December and January. The valley seems like it gets a lot more snow in the winter months. The valley becomes a major hub for snow sports, and tourists travel from all parts of the world to enjoy it.

From here, we set out to reach Rohtang Pass. We were unable to get to Rohtang Pass because of the snow that fell the day before. We hiked uphill until we reached the clearing of snow. Gulaba, the highest peak accessible, was our final destination. It was absolutely worth it. The grass was softened by the fresh snow that had fallen the night before. We took many beautiful pictures and played in the snow. Our 1.5-year-old daughter was more concerned than we were, and he looked at the snow and thought there was lots of milk all over it. We were back at our hotel by the afternoon, and then we relaxed for the rest of the day. The next day we would be returning to Chandigarh.

If you have time to spare, we highly recommend that you take a road trip to Ladakh by Manali. This can be done from Srinagar, and you can return to Manali.

Day 7: Manali to Chandigarh

Our amazing trip was over. Today was a quiet morning as we set off for Chandigarh. After crossing Kullu, we stopped for breakfast in one of our roadside dhabas (small restaurants). We'll never forget this breakfast. Here we enjoyed the most incredible alloo parathas, teas, coffees, and toast. As we drove onwards, we captured memories of amazing natural beauty and ascents, then drove onwards. We arrived in Chandigarh at four in the evening. At 6 in. the evening, our train took us to Chandigarh. At 10 pm, we reached Delhi.

We conclude our week-long trip to Shimla, Manali

Conclusion: Our Shimla Manali trip was unforgettable and very dear to our hearts. We were accompanied by our entire family on this trip. We are looking forward to more trips like these in the future, and we look forward to sharing with you interesting stories and information. If you are thinking of a trip to Shimla-Manali, and have any questions, you can contact us or leave comments for us. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Hong Kong: My experience at K11 MUSEA & K11 ARTUS

It’s been almost two years since I haven’t travelled to another country. I’m not lying, I REALLY MISS IT. No worries, I am patiently waiting for that time to come.

Talk about travelling abroad. There is one destination in Asia that I really wish to visit. What is it? It’s Hong Kong. I saw a lot of my friends posting stunning architecture, food, and street shots were taken while they were there. However, I kept on delaying my trip there and went somewhere instead.

In 2019, I finally visited this region, unexpectedly (OMG, I MISS TRAVELLING!). Though it was just for a very short visit, at least I got the essence of how Hong Kong looks like (after the trip, I’m pretty sure that I’ll definitely visit Hong Kong again in the future). I was there to discover one of the latest hot spots in Hong Kong, which is K11 MUSEA.

NOTE:
I know most of us are unable to travel internationally due to the current pandemic situation. Don’t worry. You can read this article first & save it for your future reference… when we can travel around again.

 What is K11 Musea?

Located in the heart of Hong Kong’s Victoria Dockside, K11 MUSEA is not considered just as a shopping mall but more like a cultural retail destination. It offers a different experience for the visitors from inspiration, discovery, and edutainment just like what its founder, Mr. Adrian Cheng, wishes to achieve which is to enrich the everyday life of the modern consumer through creativity, culture, and innovation.

Being part of Victoria Dockside (Hong Kong’s famous spots), K11 MUSEA is considered as a Silicon Valley of Culture as its founder, Adrian Cheng, aims to provide a greater opportunity for around 100 creative artists in and outside of Hong Kong who came from various disciplines and cultures such as art, architecture, design, and sustainability to showcase their artworks and gain wider exposure among the public. He believed that these can be experienced in a new consumer’s daily life.

Basically, those who visit this place will not only have a shopping experience but can also do different activities like appreciating the artworks that have been placed around the complex and more.

I followed several tours (some of them are FREE) organized by them to get to know better about K11 MUSEA. So, let me bring you around and see what this place has to offer.

For shopaholics, you can find almost everything you need here from high-end to local brands. I’ve heard that some shops even have their own elevator/lift for their VIP customers. If you’re like me, who rarely shop at the shopping mall when travelling, don’t worry because there are plenty of things to do here that don’t need you to break your wallet. For instance, joining the free tour organized by K11 MUSEA.

They are hosting a number of tours from free to paid ones, which cover different themes such as architecture, art, nature, and more. During my visit, I had the opportunity to join two tours (architecture and art) and I tell you, it was a fascinating and insightful one.

Just imagine yourself walking in an area filled with so many unique features but you just have no idea what it is all about. You’ll get the same exact feeling when you decide to walk around K11 MUSEA by yourself instead of joining the tours. For your information, the tours can be conducted in English.

 Architecture Tour

The first one focused on the architectural features of K11 MUSEA. The tour guide explained briefly the main ideas of why K11 MUSEA was built. She brought me to some of the spots to enjoy the complex’s interesting features such as the exterior of its building named the Façade, which is designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) and from a rare Portuguese limestone.

Another thing that really caught my attention was the entrance of this complex. Visitors will be greeted by a unique pattern inspired by the prosperity of the Silk Road. The stunning sunlight passing through the geometric pattern makes this space more Instagrammable.

Moving forward inside the complex, there is the Opera Theatre (grand atrium). For me, this is one of the most amazing features that K11 MUSEA has. It is made up of aluminum panels, hand-painted by local craftsman William Lam and LAAB. Be sure to marvel at the Escalating Climbers, Oculus, and The Gold Ball.

For those with kids or who just want to be a kid again, check Donut Playhouse. There are several things to try here including the 3-story high sculptural slide and more interactive games. Besides that, you can also check out Peacock Playground, a lively and colorful attraction for children to enjoy some of the cool attractions like jumping pads and a water play area.

 Art & Furniture Tour

Moving forward, the second tour focused more on the art and design elements. In this part, I personally feel like walking in an art exhibition complex. There are so many highlights actually but I won’t list all of them here. Otherwise, this post is going to be a lengthy one. One of them is the Danish Modernist furniture that is showcased inside the complex. I have learned that most of the pieces are from Mr. Adrian Cheng’s personal collections. The furniture is for display purposes only. However, they made a replica version (almost similar to the original one) for visitors to try its functionality.

Another thing that really caught my attention was the lift designs. They put some residence elements on the lift waiting area to make visitors feel more comfortable and homey while waiting for the lift. Each floor has a distinctive design. Another unique thing is the button is placed not on the common area but instead on one of the designs, which is the book. It took me a while to look for it when I used the lift for the first time. Smart move, K11 MUSEA team.

Not to forget, art enthusiasts will be amazed by the artworks exhibited at K11 MUSEA. I really love the idea and effort of giving a platform for over 40 leading international and local artists to showcase their masterpieces. Some of the artworks are Parrots of Five Colours by Zhang Enli, Big Big Company (Mini Golf) by Samson Young, Van Gogh’s Ear by Elmgreen & Dragset, Ronnie Rabbits Delusion by Ron English, and Untitled by Katharina Grosse.

Other services and facilities provided include a nursery room, disable facilities, mobile phone charger, ticketing, free Wi-Fi Internet access, and more. There are even water dispensers on different floors. They provide free and clean drinking water and advanced multi-stage filtration that complies with top international building standards.

My visit to Hong Kong and experience at K11 MUSEA was nothing short of amazing. How I wish I could extend more days there. Positively, I’m taking this as a reason for me to visit Hong Kong again in the future.

What makes me even more reluctant to leave Hong Kong is the place that I’ve stayed while I was there. I stayed at K11 Artus and I’m not gonna lie, it is one of the best (and most luxurious) stays I have ever had throughout my travelling journeys.

K11 Artus is considered an artisanal home and this is clearly seen when I walked around its public spaces, which are adorned with traditional Chinese artisanal objects selected by the founder himself and his team. I have learned that it is to make every guest feel like staying in a modern home but still have the opportunity to taste the traditional elements.

My room was complete with all the things I needed from bathing essentials, entertainment, kitchen utilities, and a comfortable bed overlooking the breathtaking Hong Kong skyline view. Another plus point is that guests can order their food from the selected restaurants or cafés at K11 MUSEA directly from the smart TV. How cool is that?

Well, there are more things to show about K11 MUSEA actually. Watch the video below if you wish to see more, okay?

The technologies that we have right now have made our life easier, don't you agree?

I have to admit that I prefer to do most things online. Read news (ugh, I like to read them in a physical newspaper actually but.. hmm), pay our monthly bills, order food, shopping and most things lah. Doing things online has made my life a lot easier & I save a lot of time.

As a content creator and freelance photographer, having these online printing platforms is just super helpful. We create, we design & let the printing company do the rest. Whether you're looking for packaging, stickers, business cards, flyer printing, these three websites have the services that you're looking for and they are priced affordably!

 1. Gogoprint

Some of you might have heard about Gogoprint before. I wrote one article about my experience printing business cards from them. All processes were done online. I only need to send the design and let them do the work. It was pretty efficient and I'm pretty satisfied with the quality.

Currently, they are operating in three countries, which are Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. What you can order from them? A lot from business cards, flyers or leaflets, wedding cards, packaging sleeves, and more. Prices are affordable and different based on the material.

If you are unsure about the quality and their service, you can simply opt for their free samples

The ordering process is pretty fast and convenient. Choose whether you want to upload your own design or you'd like to work with one of Gogoprint's in-house designers.

Day Trip Ke Sabak Bernam + Spot Fotografi Menarik

Since kitaorang (I travelled with 2 of my friends) gerak dari kawasan Damansara, perjalanan ke Sungai Besar mengambil masa sekitar 1 jam 30 minit.

Aku teruja kalau bab-bab makanan masa travel ni.

Anyway, bercakap tentang makanan ni tetiba teringat ramai orang selalu tanya how aku maintain my health condition walaupun selalu travel sana-sini. Those yang dah selalu travel mesti faham how difficult it can be to eat suitable food untuk maintain our health & stamina lagi-lagi bila pergi ke luar negara.

Staying healthy while travelling is important. Bayangkan kalau halfway tu tetiba sakit atau dah tak bermaya. Rosak plan weh.

Just consume 1 bungkus sehari. For me, I feel the benefits lebih kurang selepas dua minggu.

Okay, selesai dah pesanan khidmat masyarakat. Panjang pula aku membebel. Back to our main story.

Those yang pernah visit Katong area in Singapore, korang mesti akan teringat that attraction bila tengok these buildings in Sungai Besar. Beza dia yang kat Katong tu nampak well maintained while yang kat Sungai Besar ni cumalah bangunan kedai biasa tapi still cantik & menarik. Spend a few minutes to appreciate the buildings & snap gambar-gambar best, okie?

Next place is kitaorang melawat ke salah satu rumah tradisional di sini. For me, it was quite special sebab it’s not possible to enter them unless you know someone from the village area. We were quite lucky sebab kebetulan one of our friends stays here & memang kenal tuan rumah ni.

I can literally tell berapa usia rumah ni. Struktur kelihatan masih kuat sebab most diperbuat daripada kayu berkualiti tinggi. Lepas tu paling rasa goosebumps is bila aku nampak majalah dulu-dulu, kaset dan barang rumah vintage. Rasa macam stepping into the past.

Owner rumah tu sempat juga explain some information tentang senibina rumah tersebut. It’s amazing to learn how orang dulu-dulu mampu bina bangunan macam ni. The best thing is each design ada function tersendiri. Very well thought. Ewah.

Sebelum lunch, kitaorang stop by dekat satu kawasan ada banyak pokok kelapa (klik link Google Map ni untuk tahu) just to take some photos. Ye la, cuaca masa tu pun best so bersemangat la kitaorang nak buat photoshoot ala-ala tropical vibe gitu. Kalau ada free time, boleh la stop by sini ya.

Kedai laksa tu terletak dekat area sini. Kedai simple je tapi laksa dia sedap. They only serve laksa & berjaya menarik ramai orang untuk datang semula ke sini. Dengar cerita kedai ni dah beroperasi sekitar 60 tahun. Korang wajib cuba. Memang padu!

The rest of the evening kitaorang just wander around pantai terdekat, beli goreng-goreng makan tepi jalan & melawat kampung nelayan berdekatan sebelum memulakan perjalanan balik ke Damansara. Along the way tu kitaorang stop di kawasan sawah padi di Sekinchan. Kebetulan masa tu padi memang tengah menghijau.

Tak sabar rasanya nak kongsi banyak cerita lagi. For now, safe travels!
